For parking lot lighting contractors
A bid should not wait days for a photometric. Send the lot and the fixtures you would quote. In as little as a few minutes you get a pole layout with the fewest poles that meets your targets, the illuminance on every grid point and every input the engine used. Free during early access.
Fewer poles to price
We gave the same 300 × 200 ft lot to the public free-layout tools of two US LED manufacturers and to Runnax Engine (2026-10-08):
| Manufacturer free-layout service | Runnax | |
|---|---|---|
| Turnaround | 1–3 business days, by a person in AGi32 | about a minute of search; results in as little as a few minutes |
| Result | 24 × 150 W, no pole positions, 50 % over target | 8 × 166 W, 8 poles on the islands, on target |
| Can you check it? | No inputs provided | Every input on record; checked against AGi32 on a real parking project |
Their tool optimises average illuminance, ours the minimum, so this compares capability, not scores. Pole counts for other lot sizes: how many light poles a parking lot needs.
What you send, what you get
- Send: a DXF, an AGI file, or the lot dimensions and drive aisle; where poles may stand; the IES files of the fixtures you would quote, any manufacturer; your targets and a pole-height range.
- Get: a pole table to put on your sheet, an isolux sheet, the point grids, and a summary with every input and result against your targets.
- Check it: every input is on record, so you or your engineer can rebuild it in AGi32.

Already have a layout?
If a supplier or engineer already gave you a parking-lot layout, ask them for the AGi32 file. A second opinion recomputes it and flags what it assumes, such as a light loss factor of 1.0. A past-project check re-runs the lot and shows whether fewer poles would still pass, one free per company.
What it is not
- Not a stamped plan, a construction approval or a code-compliance statement.
- Parking lots only for now. Direct light only; simulations, not field measurements.
Questions
Can I use it to price a parking-lot lighting bid?
Yes. You get a pole table with positions, heights and luminaires to count poles and fixtures from, plus the point-by-point results against your targets. It is a design and quoting tool, not a stamped plan.
Can I compare fixtures from different manufacturers?
Yes. Send the IES files of every fixture you would quote. The engine searches each one and keeps the luminaire that passes with the fewest poles.
What does it cost?
Runs are free during early access. Paid plans will have their own terms, which we share before you are charged anything.
I already have a layout from a supplier. Can you check it?
Yes. Send the AGi32 file and we recompute it and flag its assumptions, free. Or ask for a past-project check: we re-run the lot and show whether a layout with fewer poles still passes your targets, one free per company.
