For LED manufacturers and suppliers that give free layouts
Free parking-lot layouts help you sell fixtures, and each one costs an application engineer's time. Runnax lays out a lot from your own IES catalog in about a minute, keeps the luminaire that passes with the fewest poles, and records every input so your engineers or your customers can check it in AGi32.
Your catalog decides
On the 300 × 200 ft lot on our homepage, the engine was given two luminaires and a 0.2 fc minimum:
| Luminaire | Layouts tried | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 70 W Type III | 10,944 | None passes with 16 poles or fewer |
| 166 W Type III | 11,840 | 8 poles at 30 ft, selected |
Every layout with a pole outside the islands and curbs was thrown out. The result names the luminaire, the pole table and the point-by-point results. Pole counts for other lot sizes.
Two ways to use it
- White-label: your IES catalog and your brand, with layouts on your product pages. First deployed at Auvolar, a related company. Priced per manufacturer.
- Runs on request: send a real project and the IES files you would offer; the results come back in as little as a few minutes, free during early access.
What a layout includes
- Pole table: positions, mounting heights and the selected luminaire.
- Horizontal point grid against the minimum and Max:Min targets, plus vertical illuminance at 5 ft on the drive aisle.
- Isolux sheet and a summary with every input and how many layouts were tried and rejected.
Scope today
- Parking lots: regular arrays of up to 16 poles in up to 3 rows, poles only where you allow them.
- Direct light only. A layout is not a stamped plan or a compliance statement.
Questions
What does white-label mean here?
Runnax Engine runs on your IES catalog under your brand, so your customers get parking-lot layouts on your own product pages. It was first deployed at Auvolar, a California lighting company led by Runnax's founder, so a related customer.
Which of our fixtures does it pick?
Give it every IES file you would offer for the job. It runs the full search for each one and keeps the luminaire that passes with the fewest poles.
Is our catalog or our customers' projects shared with anyone?
No. Files are never shared with another customer, and white-label project content is not used to improve the engine unless the contract says so. No project data is given to third parties to train their models.
What does it cost?
Priced per manufacturer; talk to us. Early-access runs on a real project are free.
